Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative employee Tony Kelley recently presented a Blue Ridge Fest check in the amount of $15,500 to The Dream Center of Pickens County. The Dream Center earned an extra $1000 for selling the most Fest raffle tickets of the twelve check recipients. Accepting on behalf of the Dream Center were Founders, Chris and Jim Wilson, along with board members and volunteers for the center including Tom & Venetta Berenz, Mike Caldwell, Diane Porter, Petrina Matonis, Amanda Taylor, and Shannon Leatherwood. Also on hand for the check presentation were Blue Ridge Fest corporate sponsors, Randy Harrison of American Services, Andy Pickens of AP Design LLC, WYFF President & General Manager John Soapes, and WYFF Chief Meteorologist John Cessarich. Blue Ridge Fest, a charitable event sponsored by Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative and Blue Ridge Security Solutions, celebrated its 18th anniversary this year and has raised more than $2 million for Upstate charitable organizations.
The Dream Center of Pickens County is honored to have been chosen by Blue Ridge Fest to benefit from this annual charity event. Thank you Blue Ridge Fest!
